Description: Photograph caption dated December 18, 1970 reads, "Hippie cult leader Charles Manson [not seen here], left, grins happily as he is led to court to be indicted for the murder of movie stuntman Donald 'Shorty' Shea. Family member Bruce Davis, 27, right, was arraigned on same charge. Steve Grogan, 19, is being brought to Los Angeles from Inyo County Jail at Independence where he is awaiting trial on illegal possession of a sawed-off shotgun."
