Description
Photographic portrait of three men posing with their catch, ca.1930. A giant fish can be seen in the center hanging from a rope tied inside its mouth and around a hook above it. To its right, a man wearing dark-colored clothes with spectacles and a cap that reads "Barge Billings CAPTAIN" is touching the head of the fish with one hand and holding what appears to be a hook with the other the fish is noticeably standing taller than this man. A second man is standing to its left while grabbing the upper lip of the fish and holding up a fishing rod with the other hand. A third man is visible almost behind the second man, standing on a slightly higher ground he is wearing a zipped sweater over lined dark pants and a scarf around his neck. One of his hands is holding the hook from which the fish is hanging. There is a life-guard on the left foreground which says "Barge Billings" on it. What appears to be a wooden dock is partially visible in the background.
