A panoramic view of an oil refinery in Signal Hill or Long Beach. There are several low, circular structures left of center, and to the right small rectangular buildings. Several automobiles are parked on the far right near what looks like a garage. Railroad tracks on the left end before they reach the circular structures, and there is a small building under construction next to the tracks. Most of the land is undeveloped fields, and besides one oil rig, or derrick, on the right, beyond the water tower, there are no other signs of the oil industry. Writing in white in the bottom right corner reads "Photo No. 271 ; The Aerograph Co. ; 5880 Moneta ; L.A. - Calif."
Finding aid lists the company as Chrystal Production Company.
