Description
Photograph of a view of Spring Street looking north from Third Street, ca.1934. At center, a wide, paved commercial street is pictured extending into the distance with what appears to be either three or four lanes of traffic. At left, the Douglas Building can be seen, and at right, the Stimson building is visible. Farther in at left, the Lyceum Theater can be seen with a conical cupola extending from its facade. Street car cables are visible above, strung between the buildings. Legible signs from left to right include: "Eagleson's. Eagleson & Co", "Eagleson's Semi-Annual Sale! [...] Mens Suits. $21. $26. $31", "Hotel", and "L.T. Phillips B[...]", "Cigars", "[...]ambers. [D]rugs. Lunch".
