Police examine wreckage of the DC-9 that went through a block wall near Carmenita Road after a mid-air collision between Aerome´xico Flight 498 and a Piper PA-28-181 Archer plane occurred over Cerritos. The collision killed 67 people aboard both aircraft and 15 people on the ground. Photograph dated September 1, 1986.
