Description
Photograph of a view of Main Street from Temple Block during a parade for William Jennings Bryan, Los Angeles, ca.1896. Crowds of spectators flood the street but make way for a horse-drawn carriage escorted by police officers holding sabers. More spectators look from a platform built from the second story of a building at the left. An American flag hangs in from outside of the frame to the right, in front of the Victorian-style shopfronts. Legible signs include: "C. Decoma Hardware", and "Loan and Broker".
