Description
Photograph caption dated July 9, 1989 reads, "Police and onlookers inspect damage after a student pilot practicing touch-and-go landings with a flight instructor made a forced landing in Venice. The pilot tried to land on the beach when the Cessna 152 developed engine problems Friday morning but struck a traffic signal, power lines and a car windshield near Rose and Seventh avenues. Neighter person in the plane was hurt. The driver of the car reported minor injuries but was not hospitalized."
