Description
Scotty's Room in Scotty's Castle. Furniture fills the room, and a picture of Buffalo Bill hangs in the room. Scotty at one time traveled with the Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. Formerly called Death Valley Ranch, it was built, but never completed, in the 1920s. Flamboyant cowboy, storyteller, Walter Scott, convinced Chicago millionaire Albert Johnson to invest in his (fraudulent) gold mine in the Death Valley area. Johnson actually spent time vacationing and recuperating from illness at the property, which is now a museum.
