“Workshop.” ‘In holiday time, many of the boys work for fees or pocket money by making school furniture… This pile of desks and benches was made in about a fortnight by 4 lads.’ Exterior view of the workshop with desks and benches laid out and amongst them stand three boys. ❧ The image is from the collection of Dr Archibald Clive Irvine (1893-1974) showing the period from 1928-1961 at the Chogoria mission which was established in 1922.
