Groups of people stroll along the pier next to the Long Beach Auditorium at the end of Pine Avenue. A horse and buggy pause on the beach while other buggies are parked at the bottom of the bluffs as their owners picnic or swim. Both floors of the Auditorium are crowded with people. Trees give a rural aura to the houses that sit on top of the bluff and overlook the Pacific.
