Description
The Valley to Vietnam series, produced by Sacramento Public Library, traces the arc of experience of Vietnam era veterans living in the Sacramento, California area. As a native son of Eureka, California, Ronn Cossey has long been driven to live life to its fullest, an aspiration that has taken him from Northern California to Europe to the jungles of South Vietnam. In this episode of Valley to Vietnam, we explore his experiences as both as a tanker and tunnel rat during the Tet Offensive and along South Vietnam's fabled Highway 13, known also as "Thunder Road." Cossey's recent efforts in the realm of veteran advocacy have led him, in concert with Iraq War veteran Zeb Lane, to put pen to paper in creating the cross-generational epic "Namraq," published by the Sacramento Public Library's I Street Press (istreet@saclibrary.org OR 916.264.2777).
