The interior of the First Church of Christ Scientist at 440 Elm Avenue in Long Beach looking towards the pulpit. It was designed by Elmer Grey, architect, and built in 1913 in the Renaissance Revival style. Pairs of classical columns hold a rectangular wall pierced with filigree above the pulpit. The ceiling is decorated with recessed panels and the pews face the pulpit in a shallow semicircle. The church is Long Beach Historic Landmark no. 16.52.580.
