Description
Black and white silent film taken by Morton and Mary Hart between 1929 and 1931. The film shows the San Mateo High School building and a football game between San Mateo and Burlingame High School shot in 1929. The film continues with activities of the Hart family including Easter of 1930, a Kindergarten class at South Hillsborough School, an airship in flight, and a camping trip. Front of can: “Hi School / + Patsy Easter” (blue ink on masking tape); “INFO ON BACK / Mr. Morton Hart / [address crossed out] / First Part / SM High School / 1929 / [Balance] personal – [s]ister + easter / Pa[??]ly” (typewritten plus blue and black ink script on white adhesive label). Film reel: “Pat + easter ’30 / San Mateo School – football ’29 / [Pat] [illegible]” (handwritten in graphite). Back of film can: “Taken by Dr. Morton Hart and Mrs. Hart 1931 / San Mateo High School, Harry Saxe (Sterling Furniture), Bobby Smith, Paul Walker Matson (Matson Navigation) Francis McConvele (Supt. Of School), Dinty Moore, (Teacher) / Tower of High School, taken down because of earthquake threat. San Mateo and Burl.
