Paul M. Zall discusses his book, “Benjamin Franklin’s Humor.” He begins by explaining that Franklin wrote his own book of proverbs, and wrote satire stories for his brother’s newspaper. Franklin would also write satirical letters to editors under false names, and would sometimes even reply to his own letters in the paper. Zall discusses how Franklin was very religious and started his own religious club for wealthy men. He talks about how Franklin travelled to Paris to start his own printing business, then returned to Philadelphia to help write The United States' Constitution. Zall ends the interview by discussing that he is the Senior Editor at the Huntington Library.
