Description
This brochure, published by the Sacramento Chamber of Commerce, provides a chronological history of the development of McClellan Field in Sacramento, from 1930-1943. It begins with its inception as Rockwell Field was about to be moved “When the Repair and Supply Depot at Rockwell Field was to be moved, Sacramento was given the choice of having that Base. It was accepted” and ends with the date May 22, 1943, when the “designation was changed from Sacramento Air Depot Control Area Command to Sacramento Air Service Command.”
