Jennifer Keene, Professor of History at Chapman University, presented "The First World War and the African American Soldier" on June 11, 2017 at Central Library as part of the Sacramento Public Library's World War I Revisited series and the World War I and America grant, presented by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, the National WWI Museum and Memorial, Warrior Writers, Voices from War, Words After War, Wounded Warrior Project, and the United States World War One Centennial Commission, funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
