Portrait of "Surrat" is standing view to below knees; that of Booth is seated view, with cane in right hand, and facing front; that of "Harold" is standing view, with right hand on table and left hand holding cap or hat. “Wanted” broadside with albumen carte-de-visite photographs of James Surratt, John Wilkes Booth and David Herold. Photographs on broadside copied by Gardner. All procured within 24 hours by government marshalls 24 hours after AL's death. Photograph of Booth was found immediately after the assassination by detective from Provost Marshal General's office who searched his room at the National Hotel. Detectives also procured photograph of John Surratt from a family album at the home of Mrs. Surratt. David E. Herold's photo came from family album provided by Mrs. Herold as well.
