Description
Title supplied by cataloger.
Photographer's caption reads, "Three mornings a week there's a call for reveille at six a.m. outside of the Page Museum. Not a bugle call, but the call of a human voice, in cadence, for push-ups, sit-ups, flutter-kicks, and repeated laps around Hancock Park. This is Operation Fitness Boot Camp. Head drill instructor - formerly with the military's Special Operations - is Jay Kerwin, "The Major," assisted by his wife Marcella, "The Lieutenant." Boot Camp recruits come in all ages, sizes, and shapes. During the sunrise drill, "The Major" encourages his trainees to do their best in this unique setting."
