Description
Michael Tolkin discusses his book, “Under Radar.” He begins by explaining the plot, which follows the character Tom, who has taken his family on vacation to a resort in Jamaica. However, the vacation runs a foul when Tom pushes another guest off a cliff and is then thrown in a Jamaican prison for a life sentence. Tom eventually breaks out of prison and travels to Fiji and then Hawaii where he discovers his wife has remarried. Tolkin goes on to read several sections aloud from his novel. Also in this interview, Tolkin discusses his writing process and the difference between writing for film and writing prose.
