Photograph of a view of 6th Street looking west from Los Angeles Street, ca.1900. Pacific Electric Building, at left, towers above the many commercial buildings on this street. An American flag stands waving on the roof. Construction materials such as lumber and electrical wires are lain down on the sidewalks of the street (foreground). Two wooden horses flank a hole dug in the ground near the construction materials. Horse-drawn carriages and pedestrians can be seen traveling on the street. Utility poles line the streets. The dirt road has two sets of streetcar rails.
Legible signs include: "Pacific Garage", "the aseptic barber shop", "breaker", "C.
