Description
Photograph of an exterior view of an old adobe store at New Almaden, Southwest of San Jose, 1938. The lightly-colored Almaden general mercantile store is visible at center with a damaged shingled roof and two stripes that extend the large width of the store's front. A tree stands outside the doors of the store along the edge of the street that lies in the foreground. To the right of the tree, further down the street, a man can be seen using the gas pumps in front of the store for a parked automobile to the left of him. Thick woods blanket the backdrop of the old store.
