Description
Pictured in 1935 is the reference desk of the Oak Park Branch of the Sacramento City Library, located at 3301 Fifth Avenue. As stated in July 1930 News and Notes of California Libraries, the structure contained “four rooms; a large well-lighted reading room, an adjoining staff room with kitchen, and a well-equipped workroom,” with the publication going on to say that “with much increased seating and shelving capacity over the old branch library, together with favorable hours, Oak Park Branch will make important strides in the new location.”
