Photograph caption dated December 23, 1953 reads, "'Twas the night before Christmas and on top of this house at 14643 Burbank blvd. who is stirring but old Santa himself and his sturdy reindeer? Valley civic organizations are sponsoring Christmas decorating contests which provide pleasure for those participating. Throughout the Valley decorative displays bring to the viewer a friendlier and more co-operative Christmas spirit.
