Description: Grand Army of the Republic Sheridan-Dix Post No. 7 Department of California and Nevada two-sided banner dated January 2, 1905. The Santa Clara / San Jose Post No. 7 was the result of merging, in 1902, the organization founded in honor of Major-General Philip Henry Sheridan (1831-1888) and the organization founded in honor of Major-General John Adams Dix (1798-1879).
