Numerous students stand outside of Glendora Grammar School, located on the corner of Wabash and Whitcomb avenues. The Glendora Land Co. donated the land and over $5,000 for the construction of the city's first school. By 1893, it gained a second story to make room for the increased attendance, which had boasted 320 students by 1913. In 1915, four extra rooms were added to the back of the school to accommodate an ever-increasing student body. Unfortunately, it was razed the following year.
