Print reproduced in 1951 for Herald-Examiner. Photo originally owned by Dept. of Water and Power, no. 51-157.
Dept. of Water and Power employee, F.S. Earls, is performing a final check on a huge hydraulic rotary valve at Baldwin Hills Reservoir. The valve is temporary and will be replaced by a larger one. The sign on the drum by Earls' left says "Tested O.K.". The sign on the drum below Earls states "Not oiled".
