Description
Newport Beach Aircraft Warning Volunteer Center during World War II about 1940. A young lady is signing up while another woman is handing her a flyer with the heading: "This could be a real bomb, See 'Eyes Aloft' in area 33 or call..." A sign is visible on a table which reads: "We need a Loyal American who can donate an hour or two each week." Another sign is partially visible which states: "Join here! Your Country...Needs You ....Aircraft Warning..."
