Title supplied by cataloger. Written in ink on back: "13984 N.A. 3390 Beach Composed entirely of Sheels of small native Oysters. San Francisco Bay, California. This line of shells extends for 12 miles or more along west shore of the Bay. The shells are used for making garden walks, etc." Stamped on back: "This photograph is our file copy please do not mutilate it. Please return as soon as possible. Philadelphia Commercial Museum."
