Description
Plates in: Amador County, photograph album, [1900? -1915?], page [21]. Shows railroad track and car, horse-drawn wagons, automobile. Buildings have label "Newman". McCurry no. 5708. 2011-0697. In 1907, Carl Hidecker built firebrick manufacturing plant on land purchased from P.S. Glasscock near Ione. Purchased from Jacob Newman clay land. Set up the Ione Fire Brick Company.
