Description
Photograph caption dated February 24, 1960 reads "Delcie Elwood, 14, member of the Valley Youth Center, 17650 Devonshire St., Northridge, accepts Freedom Shrine presentation from Kenneth Nelson, president of Hollywood Exchange Club, right. Looking on with approval is Chaplain J. F. Coppedge, founder of Rangers and Christian Commandos. Shrine, to be permanently housed at the center, consists of reproductions of 28 documents of historical importance including Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights. Similar shrines have been established throughout nation by Exchange Clubs."
