Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated November 4, 1961 partially reads, "Like Will Rogers in a group of city slickers, Will Rogers State Park stands out in the rush of the city surrounding it - a peaceful, quiet haven...That's precisely what humorist Will Rogers sought when he bought the ranch in 1922 and installed a polo field, a golf putting range, an 18-room two-story house, a large stable and bridle trails.
