Description
Photograph of San Francisco's Kearny Street, looking west from Pine Street, ca.1905. There are two cable cars running on tracks in the middle of the street--both are full of passengers. There are also many pedestrians on the sidewalks on both sides of the street. The buildings on this street have shops in them and are all at least three stories tall. There is a very tall building with an elaborate spire on top in the distance. Legible signs include, from left to right, "1215", "The W[...]", "The Meldr[...] Nicely Furnished", "Hall of Justice 975 Southern Pacific Depot", "C. C. Lord's", "Pernau's", "Fine Gifts", and "Trusses Elastic Stockings & Supporters".
