Black and white photograph showing Nigerian girls performing a folk dance at a celebration organised by the Methodist Missionary Society in Eziama, south-eastern Nigeria. The girls are part of the Girls' Life Brigade, a group of girl guides organised by Miss M Brazier, in charge at evangelistic work at the Ama Achara Methodist Hospital, run by the Methodist Missionary Society. A group of younger girls (Brigade cadets) can be seen in the background watching the dance in ordered rows. The caption to this image reads: "Another folk dance by Brigade girls. Cadets in back-ground." This photograph was pasted into one of a series of exercise book albums created by Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Ama Achara hospital from 1921 to 1944.
