Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated October 5, 1964 partially reads, "Our City Hall reporter Ralph Selph was feted at a farewell party last Friday night by a combined gang of Valley Times and Citizen News staffers. They threw the party at The Quail Restaurant, 11669 Sherman Way, North Hollywood, where the festivities carried on for a long evening. Ralph has been one of this editorial department's top reporters. His City Hall report has been comprehensive and prolific. He's a dedicated newsman. We're going to miss him. But, Ralph has succumbed to the lure of the flesh pots. He's taking over as field deputy for the San Fernando Valley's new city councilman, John Cassidy. We lose and John wins."
