Description
Photograph of two views of a temple and a fort in Cartagena, Colombia, [s.d.]. In the top view, a set of railway tracks extends from the foreground on the far right to the buildings at center. Several smaller buildings stand on the right with small trees standing among them. A dark building with a thin steeple stands to the left of the smaller buildings while the massive factory of the Tropical Oil Company occupies the land on the left. The lights of the town cause the water in the foreground on the left to shimmer. Caption reads "Residence of the Jesuit fathers and the temple of San Pedro Claver -- Monumento to la Bandera -- Seven-story edifice of the Tropical Oil Cp". The bottom view shows the fort of La Tenaza. A dark path divides the scene down the center. A bare field lies on the right of the path with only several palm trees to be seen in the background. Several brick structures of the fort stand on the left with more palm trees near the water's edge in the background. Photo sleeve reads "copied from prints of Edgar Lloyd Hampton".
