Photograph of portrait of a recently married Mojave Indian couple, ca.1900. They are standing outside. She (at left) wears a large beaded collar which covers her shoulders, a cape, a thick beaded sash around her waist, and a long print skirt. Her midriff and breasts are bare. He (at right) wears a vest over a shirt, beads and a bandana tied about his neck, trousers, and a large fez-like cap. He is barefoot. They are holding hands. Vegetation is visible in the background.
