Photograph caption dated August 18, 1987 reads, "Apparently, driver of oil tanker did not heed his warning signs on own truck. He reportedly did not see another truck stopped for left turn, tried to go around, missed, rupturing & spilling 7,500 gallons of light oil on Bandini near Garfield Tues. A.M. LA County firefighter tiptoes through the spill." The location of this incident is in Commerce.
