Photograph article dated January 9, 1961 partially reads, "The Fulton Junior High association is departing from the accepted festive format for Founders Day observances to present a program keyed to the defense of the so-called 'fads and frills' of today's educational system. Mrs. George Van Syckel, president, lists the 7:30 p.m. program on Jan. 17 as a 'challenge to every parent to become informed and assume educational leadership.'" Photograph caption reads, "Mrs. Van Syckel inspects displays for program - Exhibitors are Sheryl LeComte, Wayne Davis and Bob Ward."
