Description
Photograph of a captured German tank on a flat car in Paris, ca.1925. The boxy metal tank is at center and is composed of metal panels riveted together on a chassis with caterpillar tracks. A large German cross is painted on the side of the tank at center. There are seventeen men standing on the ground in front of the railroad car on which the tank rests. The men are dressed in various outfits, including police, army and civilian clothes. There are also four men standing on or in the tank, and two of those men are peeking out from small hatches cut into the metal skin of the German vehicle. There is a low stone wall at left.
