Photograph caption dated January 31, 1948 reads, "David Hearst, right, executive publisher of The Herald-Express, is interviewed by Stu Wilson, master of ceremonies during the program." The Los Angeles Evening Herald-Express was the first American metropolitan newspaper to be televised.
