Description
Photograph of Abram Ontivares serenading his wife Petra outside of the Ontivares adobe, ca.1925. Abram, dressed in the costume of a caballero, is playing a guitar and staring up at Petra, who is leaning out of a second story window. On the covered porch of the adobe, there are chairs arranged as if to provide seats from which to watch Ontivares, but they are all empty. There are two small American flags visible, one attached to a post supporting the roof, and the other inside the wooden framed doorway.
