Image of a family portrait of the musical and sketch entertainment ensemble the McGibeny Family of Portland, Oregon, sitting in a parlor with musical instruments displayed on the floor; the family consists of the parents Mr. and Mrs. J. B. McGibeny and their twelve children, including an infant: Alice McGibeny, Fred McGibeny, Dockie McGibeny, Hugh McGibeny, Leo McGibeny, James McGibeny, Frank McGibeny, Grace McGibeny, Carl McGibeny, Victor McGibeny, Florence McGibeny, and Viola McGibeny; floral border around portrait.
Probable date based on show history; the family was advertised as "The Greatest Musical Family in the World, 14 in all" in 1884 (Harry Miner's American Dramatic Directory for the Season of 1884-'85, page 32) and as "15 in number" in 1885 ([Advertisement], Cambridge Jeffersonian, 4 June 1885, page 3).
