Description
Photograph of a collapsed city hall in Compton, after the earthquake of March 10, 1933. The roof is shown in the right center foreground, tumbling down to a pile of wreckage on the path below which can be seen behind a park bench and a swath of grass. Farther in the background, a second section of the building can be seen slumping to the left, its windows coming unhinged.
