Description
A $25, 000 bond to construct Edgemont Grammar School was passed in 1908 and the School, located on Elm and Jenevein Avenue, opened August 1, 1910. Mrs. E. Loomis was the school's first principal and one of its teachers. The school remained in operation until 1941-42, when the students were moved to the "new" Edgemont School, which had been built at Angus and Linden Avenue to meet the needs of San Bruno's new residents who arrived during WWII.
