Image of Sergeant William Jasper replacing the recovered flag shot down by the British at the Fort Moultrie on Sullivan's Island, South Carolina, during the American Revolutionary War; soldiers are pictured loading and firing cannons at British ships advancing through Charles Towne Harbor in an attempt to capture Charleston, South Carolina.
