Description: Police department's "sledge hammer boys" arrested three men in a raid on an alleged "bookie" place in the old United States Hotel on Main Street. Shown from left to right: Joe De Gregory, Oscar Olson and L. De Simone. In back of the trio is wreckage left after the officers' heavy sledge hammers wrecked havoc on the furniture in the establishment. Photo dated: December 17, 1938.
