Description: Image of a San Juan Brand raisin label from McPherson Brothers of McPherson (now Orange), California; goddess Venus scolds her son Cupid and holds his quiver of arrows in her hand; the baby boy Cupid leans on an urn filled with grapes.
Date approximated by cataloger based on company history; the McPherson brothers purchased their 220 acres in 1872, and farmed raisin grapes there until approximately 1887. "Copyright Secured. Lith. H.S. Crocker & Co. S.F."--text, bottom margin.
