Description
Photograph of a horse in front of a memorial to Rudolph Valentino in Delongpre Park, Hollywood, 1933. The Arabia stallion, named Jadaan, can be seen in the foreground at left. He is light-colored and has a long, thick mane and a decorative bridle. The horse appears to be holding a wreath in its mouth. The memorial can be seen in the background at right and consists of a statue of a naked sheik looking to the sky while standing on a large marble ball. The ball is sitting on top of an inscribed base. Several tall trees can be seen in the background. The inscription on the monument reads: "Aspiration Erected in the Memory of Rudolph Valentino 1895-1926 Presented by his friends and admirers from every walk of life - in all parts of the world, in appreciation of the happiness brought to them by his cinema portrayals."
