When the New Year began at midnight January 1, 1931, the historic Glendale-Montrose Railway ended as Joseph Hingston, at left, and William Nagel, at right, took the last car on the last run. Nagel had been with the line since it began 21 years ago, and Hingston was the second oldest employee in point of service.
