Description
Photograph article dated February 12, 1951 partially reads, "A 74-year-old San Fernando man, with the composed and peaceful mein befitting his years, has developed what he calls a 'weapon so deadly that ground armies are a thing of the past.' James H. Woods, of 606 Hewitt St., has named the weapon 'the Victory Bomb.' To qualify the elderly Woods as something besides a day-dreaming inventor, his record shows that during World War I, he perfected a small armored tank, and in World War II he designed a devise for loading sandbags for bomb shelters. It was put into use by a San Fernando contractor, and had a capacity of eight sacks per minute."
